Planning a celebration?
We love a good celebration — birthdays, anniversaries, christenings, gatherings. A few notes so the day runs smoothly:
Cakes
Bring a cake — light the candles, sing, take all the photos. Food-safety regulations (HACCP traceability — food prepared outside our kitchen can't be served on the premises) mean the cake then goes home with you to enjoy afterwards.
Balloons
Foil balloons are very welcome. We don't allow latex balloons — some of our customers have latex allergies and some can have life-threatening reactions. Foil works just as well for the photos.
Decorations
Small table decorations are fine. We ask that you avoid confetti and loose decorations — they go everywhere and are a nightmare for our team to clean up.
Singing & photos
A round of Happy Birthday from your table is always welcome. Our team is happy to grab a group photo if you ask.
When the kitchen's open
One kitchen, fifteen hours.
The kitchen opens at half eight and doesn't close until nine — no afternoon lull, no waiting on the chef to come back from a break. Each menu has its own service window, but they overlap so you can usually order what you want when you want.

The terrace.
When the Cork weather plays nice — and even when it doesn't — our beer garden and outdoor dining terrace is one of the most-asked-for tables in the house. Sheltered, heated, and dog-friendly all year round. Order a pint, a coffee, a carvery plate or anything from the all-day kitchen and take it outside.
Bring the dog, bring the kids, bring the work laptop for a brunch meeting. The terrace is set up for all of it. Walk-ins are welcome — just ask for a table in the beer garden when you arrive.

Can I bring a birthday cake to The Barn?
